Safety Standards Covid-19:
We have put in place a series of precautionary measures in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization. We must play our part in preventing the spread of the virus and ensuring our customers remain safe throughout the duration of their trip. In terms of hygienic practices, ANCIENT EGYPT TOURS is complying with all the WHO guidelines.
1. Groups in tours and activities will not consist of more than 10 people.
2. A safe distance of one meter between clients will be maintained whenever possible.
3. The use of masks is obligatory. Masks will be given to clients who do not have their own.
4. Alcohol gel will be available before, during, and after the service.
5. All those running the service (guide, driver, hotel staff, etc...) will wear a mask throughout its duration.
6. All those running the service (guide, driver, hotel staff, etc...) will wear gloves throughout its duration.
7. All the hotels and cruises we work with have demonstrated safe and hygienic practices to ensure your complete safety.
8. The handing out of printed material such as maps or brochures will be avoided.
9. The temperature and wellness of all those taking part in the service will be monitored daily. Anyone who has a fever or displays symptoms will be separated and placed in quarantine.
10. The temperature of all attendees will be taken, and admission will be denied to those with a temperature of more than 37 degrees Celsius (99 Fahrenheit), and a full refund for the land tour will be given.
11. Should land, air, or water transport of any kind be used, the vehicles will be disinfected before and after each service deep-cleaned every 24 hours.
12. The capacity of all means of transport will be reduced to 50% of their maximum capacity.
13. At monuments, museums and attractions, the maximum permitted capacity will be 50% of the total maximum capacity.
14. Showing your voucher on your phone will be enough, and it is not necessary to print anything.
15. These measures will be applicable starting from June 2020 until further notice.

Start your tour at the Egyptian Museum. Designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the museum is located in a handsome neo-classical building on Tahrir Square. Its collections exceed 120,000 masterpieces, ranging from the pre-dynastic era, to the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods. Undoubted highlights are the collection of rare treasures of King Tutankhamen, and the Mummies Room, which you can enter for a small extra charge. Continue to the Great Pyramids of Giza and Great Sphinx, the oldest of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World, and the last still standing. Explore the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. This tour was awesome. We were meet at the airport by Mohammed(he was holding a sign with my name on it). He took to a waiting van driven by John(a very safe and courteous driver). Mohammed checked us into our hotel. For the next two days these two gentlemen showed us all the sites and treated us like family. I was pressed by Mohammed's vast knowledge of Ancient Egypt and his knowledge of Cairo and the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this tour and I would ask for Mohamed by name. Ten stars across the board!!

We were a group of 7 girls on a yearly girls trip who didn't know much about Egypt, but all of this changed after four days with our knowledgable tour guide, Mohammed! We are now leaving the trip with so much knowledge about the culture and history of this county. Mohammed was also very timely and patient with our group. He taught us everything from haggling for our souvenir to learning about the mummies and the kings of Egypt! Of course, we love taking pictures, so Mohammed also took us to wonderful pictures and instagram worthy spots! Most importantly, we felt so safe the entire time! I would highly recommend both Ancient Egypt tours and Mohammed!

I travelled with Mohammed in Cairo and Alexandria for 4 days. I booked my own accommodation. The tour was nice and Mohammed was knowledgable and had good relations overall with most of the people we met. The food options provided by the guide in Alexandria was awesome, but I did not like the restaurant in Cairo. Overall nice experience and if I will have the opportunity then I will travel with him again. The driver Ahmed was also nice and the car used for Transport was Hyundai Elantra which was nice too. We had a good time, and we also visited mall of Egypt which was very huge but there was limited sale. Sale starts in Feb. I would rate it 4.5 out of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip, the guides were all knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to assist us in any way. We saw all the main ancient sites including Abu Simbel and more, hotels were of a good standard and great value for what we'd paid. We especially loved camping in the White Desert, driving off-road and seeing a stunning sunset. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone wishing to get a real feel for the wonders of Egypt.

It is a tour packed full of the most interesting places to visit for a short holiday. It is well-organised, and even on your free day you will offer optional site-seeing for a fair additional fee. Your guide may be waiting for you outside the airport terminal building, not inside the terminal due to security measures; this needs to be clarified before arrival. You may have a personal one-to-one guide (and not a group guide) at all times, who may strongly recommend shopping in particular places rather than others based on his own personal preference, however you can always politely decline. Cairo and Alexandria are top places to visit and not to be missed!
